Yes. The document is rendered with LibreOffice rather than having its text scraped out, so fonts, tables, images, headers, footers and page breaks come through as they are. The one thing that can shift is an unusual font your document relies on that is not installed on the server — in that case a close substitute is used, which occasionally changes line breaks.
That is exactly what this page is for. You do not need Microsoft Word, Office, a subscription or any software installed — the conversion happens on our server and works the same from a Chromebook, a phone or a library computer.
DOCX and DOC from Word, ODT from LibreOffice and OpenOffice, and plain TXT files. If you have a spreadsheet instead, use the Excel to PDF tool, and for images there is JPG to PDF.
Files up to 25MB are supported, which covers almost any text document. A very long file with a lot of high-resolution images is the usual reason for going over — compressing the images inside the document first will normally bring it under.
Yes. The text stays as real text rather than becoming a picture of text, so the finished PDF can be searched, selected and copied from, and a screen reader can read it.
